February 14, 2019 listen to new Italians Do It Better Signees DOUBLE MIXTE debut EP ‘ROMANCE NOIRE’
Just in time for Valentine’s Day, Italians Do It Better introduce their newest signees — Claire Apolit and Thomas Maan aka dark French synth-pop duo Double Mixte and their “digital thunderstorm of neon lit noire” in the form the 12″ EP Romance Noire. Produced and recorded by Johnny Jewel, the record is the first introduction to a new crop of IDIB artists coming in 2019. Of the EP, the label goes on to say, “Romance Noire is art that both contemplates & transcends time’s firm grip. It’s a filmic journey inducing a vague sense of future nostalgia.” The seven-track release features three new songs, their instrumentals and an alternative version of the title track.
