June 21, 2017 Ariel Pink announces new LP ‘DEDICATED TO BOBBY JAMESON’; shares visuals for “Another Weekend”
Ariel Pink has announced his new full-length Dedicated To Bobby Jameson out in September on Mexican Summer. As the title indicates the record pays tribute to the Los Angeles musician who passed away in 2015. A press release goes to say “The new release’s title makes a direct and heartfelt reference to a real-life Los Angeles musician, long presumed dead, who resurfaced online in 2007 after 35 reclusive years to pen his autobiography and tragic life story in a series of blogs and YouTube tirades…and whose book and life resonated with me to such a degree, Pink states, that I felt a need to dedicate my latest record to him.”

Shlohmo officially ushers in the summer sharing his new “big heat wave lounge style” mixtape FOR THA SUMMER for Sneeze Mag, featuring breezy edits of signature tracks from Young Thug, Future, Rae Sremmurd, Migos and Mobb Deep (Prodigy RIP) + more, inter spliced with samples of “old Japanese and Korean soul records.” Shlohmo says of the tape:
