June 27, 2016 Hoops announce EP for Fat Possum; listen to first single “Cool 2”
Here’s the succinct opening track from Hoops‘ forthcoming self-titled EP for Fat Possum, out later this summer. Whether or not your familiar with the their first three tapes (we’re big fans btw) opener “Cool 2” is proper introduction to the Bloomington band’s hazy and effortless melodic lo-fi guitar pop: a perfect foil for the sweltering summer heat, that has routinely drawn comparisons to early Real Estate to Wild Nothing to Ariel Pink. Definitely one to watch in 2016. Hoops EP is out August 26 on Fat Possum.
