January 12, 2016 Kedr Livanskiy – Razrushitelniy Krug (Destructive Cycle)

One of the most exciting producers to emerge in the last year or so is Russia’s Kedr Livanskiy. Her music, self described as a mix of “Autechre, Aphex Twin and Boards of Canada, but with the lyrics and mood of Mazzy Star” is heavily inspired by her native country and 90’s MTV. The first single “Razrushitelniy Krug’s (English: Destructive Cycle)” from her debut EP January Sun deals with “self-reflection becoming self-destructive in a vicious cycle.” Check it out below.
