August 18, 2015 Molly Nilsson – 1995
Sweden’s Molly Nilsson returns with “1995” the wistful, achingly nostalgic (punctuated by that sweet closing sax solo) from her forthcoming new full length, Zenith. Accompanied by a Nilsson + Chris Filipinni directed video’s sentimental, almost romantic use of collage style, VHS visuals perfectly encapsulates the song’s deep sense of longing, reminding us that despite the fleeting nature of time, our past, in some form, will forever endure. Zenith is out September 25 on Dark Skies Association.
