February 3, 2015 mp3: Kotomi – The Last Time

LA’s Kotomi first appeared on our radar via her appearance on Ryan Hemsworth’s 2014 LP Alone For The First Time dreamy/woozy standout “Surrounded.” Today, she unveils the driving, glimmering, positively resilient first single in a series of new singles she’ll apparently be releasing the first Tuesday of every month in 2015.  We read “The Last Time”  is about “two amazing women passed away last year that were a big part of my childhood, and this song was inspired by them. It’s about love, loss, and the fragility of life.”
They would be very proud.
