One of our favorite labels Cascine has just announced plans to reissue London trio House of 909‘s 1997 smooth, luxurious colossally slept-on deep house masterpiece The Children We Were. Of the decision, the label says it “developed an affinity for The Children We Were, connecting with its colorful arrangements and sense of sincerity…the tracks were stylish without taking themselves too seriously.” For fans of 100% Silk‘s tangential lush basement groove aesthetic, you’ll find this record worthy of repeated exploration. Listen to the slinky “Playing Fields” below and grab your copy of the re-mastered, re-designed (artwork above) and re-packaged limited-edition vinyl here; available August 7.

Producer Mark Barrott continues his beloved Sketches From An Island (Ibiza, specifically) series — following up one of our favorite records, 2014’s Balearic triumph, with 4 more tracks of driving, blissfully exotic, tropical grooves and although we are stationed here in Miami, somehow still feels completely transportive. Mark Barrott’s Sketches From An Island 3 is out July 20 on International Feel.
